If your sight picture was correct, you should have your shots close together. This is called a grouping.

Anyone who has all shots grouped together has a correct sight picture.

If the person's position and movements are consistent, they may only need to adjust the rear sight if not hitting in the 10 ring.

The rule for sight adjustment is: Move the rear sight in the same direction you want the BB to move on the target.

If you want the BB to hit further to the right, move the rear sight to the right.

If you want the BB to hit further to the left, move the rear sight to the left.

If you want the BB to hit higher on the target, move the rear sight up.

If you want the BB to hit lower on the target, move the rear sight down.

The purpose of moving your sights is to have all your shots hitting in the center of the bullseye. Move your sights in the direction of the bullseye.

You may have to move your sight as many as five times before you have the BB striking exactly in the center of the 10 ring.

Preparing for the Written Test

The written test will consist of 30 true and false questions covering everything learned so far.

Study the Code of the Daisy Rifleman (the 11 rules of safe gun handling) to prepare for the test.
